Last Minute Shopping

Looking for those last minute gift items and burned out on the Columbia Mall?  Here are a few alternative ideas.

Try Main Street Ellicott City.  If you haven't been in a while, there are new shops and restaurants to check out.  EllicottCity.net has a good interactive listing of shops in upper, middle and lower Main Street, so you can scope out your targets before you wander, but there are even more choices when you get there in person.  And you can grab a bite at The Diamondback Grill, Tersiguel's, Jordan's, La Palapa, Johnny's Bistro on Main, Ellicott Mills Brewery , The Rumor Mill, or any of the other fine choices on Main Street.

If you don't want to brave the cold, fresh air, give Savage Mill a shot.  This directory lists the several dozen different shops for antiques, gifts & collectibles, fashion & jewelry, fine arts & crafts, and furniture & home design, all in five interconnected buildings.  You can eat at the Rams Head Tavern or Bonaparte Bistro.  Shopping hours are extended from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm through December 24.

And don't forget two of our favorite western county shops, Casual Gourmet and the Pink Cabbage.  Both have lots of unique items you won't find elsewhere.
