The Filene's Basement store in the Snowden Square shopping center in Columbia will be closing February 28, 2009. The intrepid shoppers in my family let me know that signs were posted on Monday, and today's article in the Sun confirms it. So get your liquidation shopping in soon.
That adds to the sad list of retail stores we've lost in the past few months, which now includes Linens n' Things, Tweeter, Chip Smyth Jewelers, and Beverly's Hallmark in Dorsey Search.
