At a recent gathering of HoCo bloggers I had the pleasure of meeting local photographer Michael Oberman. He takes world-class photos of wildlife and other many other things, mostly right here in Howard County. His shots of heron, ducks, raptors and other denizens of Centennial Lake, Lake Kittamaqundi, Wilde Lake and other unsuspecting local wildlife refuges are quite wonderful.
Michael has over 4,000 photos posted on flikr.com under the name ozoni11. Check them out when you get the chance, and be amazed at what's in your back yard. I suggest starting with the Explore/Interestingness set. If you like what you see, you can contact him directly to purchase prints. Also, he and other local artists will be exhibiting at the "Out of the Bins" show at Slayton House Gallery on February 21 from 11:00 am -4:00 pm.
