Here are some Holiday Shopping and Craft Events to make your season a little brighter. Support your local shops and crafters!
December 4: Winter Arts Market at the Bain Center in Columbia from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. 410-313-7469
December 4 - 14: Local art and holiday items valued under $150 at Singular Sensations annual holiday art exhibit by the Columbia Art Center. Opening reception on December 4 from 5:30 - 8:30.
December 5: Midnight Madness in Old Town Ellicott City. Shops on Main Street open until midnight with many specials available.
December 5: The Howard County Arts Council holds its Annual Open House and Holiday Sale from 9:00 - 9:00 pm. Find jewelry, fabric crafts, sculpture, photographs, paintings, prints, cards and much more. This reception/sale is in conjunction with the Art MD 2008 exhibit which runs until December 12.
December 6: The Howard County Conservancy hosts its Holiday Sale and Nature Crafts event from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
December 6: Howard County Parks and Recreation hosts the 36th annual Holiday Mart featuring seasonal crafts and merchandise from over 130 juried artisans. Centennial High School, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tickets $4 at the door, $1 for ages 3-12.
December 7: The Pink Cabbage is hosting a Wine and Cheese Open House from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.
December 7: Gallery 44 hosts a Jewelry and Chocolate event from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Enjoy chocolate confections and preview the handcrafted jewelry of Marie Glaser.
December 13: The Glenelg High School Marching Unit will hold a Holiday Bazaar in the school cafeteria from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
December 15-24: Historic Savage Mill extends its shopping hours from 10:00am - 9:00pm.
